It is no surprise that Filipinos love to eat, and that is the one of the reasons why many businessmen venture into food and beverage industry. Eating is our way of living. We eat because we are happy. We eat because we are sad. We eat for so many reasons and the thing is, we never run out of reasons as much as restauranteurs never run out of ideas to make people look forward to something new. But the real question is, how to be successful in business? And just so we’re clear, this blog post is not created to give tips on how to make your business grow, but surely you’ll learn a thing or two. LOL.
Chateaubriand is the new player in the F&A industry, and is changing how the game is being played. This luxury buffet restaurant is still in soft opening, but I was surprised by the number of customers they are already receiving as I witnessed during our dinner. The Premium Steak Restaurant is located in Pasay and its facade is screaming for attention. It’s the type of place that is almost impossible for people not to notice. The tinted glass wall is just perfect to let in some natural light especially during sunset. It may be tinted, but it still leaves a hint of what’s going on inside – a subtle way to invite people in!
High ceiling. Glowing chandeliers. Classy table setup. Expect nothing less because their take on the all-you-can-eat experience is luxurious. This buffet restaurant provides unlimited varieties of meats of various cuts and grades. Beef, pork, lamb, and chicken are all grilled to perfection using the best charcoal available, brought to your table and cut in front of you for the ultimate dining experience.
Feed My Tummy PH and I started around the grand buffet and immediately took the ones we’ve been eyeing since we started taking photos. LOL. What I like about Chateaubriand is that even though the “Hero of the Story” is the Churrasco, which means Brazilian Barbecue, they still offer a wide variety of dishes to your liking. They have lavish choices of salads, sushi, imported cheese, desserts and many more. So better set a game plan and prepare your stomach!
We stood close to the grill and watched how the magic happens. All meats are cooked on long skewers placed on racks over the fire with fattier items placed on top so that the juices will drip down and flavour the other cuts. Always the freshest quality prime meats daily to ensure their customers the perfect meal!
When the meats are cooked, waiters carry the skewers around, table to table, carving off slices onto your plate. Without moving from where you are seated, you can experience unlimited Churrasco until your stomach fails you and it’s time to lumber home! HAHA! For the full Brazilian Churrasco experience, make sure to pair the cuts with the complimentary sides and condiments served at your table with the authentic flavours of Brazil!
We tried every single meat and it was so hard to keep track of what we were eating since there were so many of them! It’s crazy! Our plates were already full and we were not even halfway yet. LOL. But despite that, there will always be the one that will stand out, and that is the Picanha, which is the signature Brazilian rump cap. The secret to its great taste is the blanket of fat that makes it so juicy and flavourful. We seriously had a moment of silence to appreciate that piece of heaven.
Some other meats not to miss out!
Alcatra – top sirloin seasoned with a rich soy glaze
Linguica – classic pork sausage basted with garlic butter
Garlic Steak – sirloin marinated with garlic and fresh herbs
Frango – chicken quarters marinated with lemon rosemary
Presunto – tender ham leg with pineapple glaze
Chuleta – ribeye steak with a mesquite crust
Fraldinha – choice flank steak marinated with Brazilian spices
Lombo – pork loin with a delicate herb marinade
Carneira – boneless lamb leg with a minted oil rub
Pescado – grilled marlin or grilled tuna
Frango con Bacon – bacon wrapped chicken breast with Piri-Piri marinade
Our sumptuous dinner was capped off by a glass of Moscato and I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter ending. I cannot wait for you guys to try it! Chateaubriand is the first restaurant in Manila where I learnt the word “Churrasco” and experience it, and it was like no other with its Western-style service!
