Had I only known that there are ‘Aswang’ and ‘Mambabarang’ tales in Siquijor, then I would’ve probably did not even consider pushing through this trip especially that I went solo. But thank goodness I had no idea then about these crazy stories because I tell you, Siquijor has so much in store for travelers who love picturesque views of nature and outdoor activities. So happy that I did not miss any of these because of some popular myths and legends about this island.
I’ve been itching to post this trip to Coron w/ my college besties. Why? Because even though I haven’t been entirely around the Philippines yet, Coron was the only place that really made it hardest to leave. Everything was just perfect! The beaches, the people I’m with, the food and the strangers that turned into friends and so much more! I’ve been to Puerto Prinsesa and El Nido but still, nothing is close to the ineffable beauty of Coron.
Whenever I go out of the country, it always feels like am going to commit to something beautiful that will leave me speechless. I love how traveling makes one go on adventure, learn new things, discover the skills you didn’t know you had all the time, make your dreams come true and so much more. My love affair with travel is simply what’s keeping me sane and happy and one of the many good reasons I keep on gazing towards the bright side of life. And Taiwan is undoubtedly one of those places that made me speechless.
There is a fulfillment in doing things that make you tired. Let’s take our day 1 of traveling around Taipei as a good example. Before we doze off and call it a night, I was on my phone the whole time and admiring all the pictures I took with my camera. Taipei gave me the infinite sense of wonder. I even forgot that I was super tired and have been asking for bed the entire day. LOL. Tossing and turning. That’s exactly how I would describe my excitement to start and kick off our second day with so much energy and positive vibes.
I’ve been hooked on the feeling of international exposure and constantly in search of soul-enriching experiences that exhilarate me. Then Taipei happened. It was a dream come true though I wasn’t really planning on visiting this colorful city anytime soon. So fortunate that there was a GetGo seat sale and I have a Korean visa which got me a visa-free entry to Taiwan. I scheduled it on my birthday week and now I am ticking it off my bucket list. Yahoo!
